Azfar is the Vice President of the One Club for Creativity San Diego and has been a creative lead for over 16 years as a designer, senior art director, creative director, and creative brand strategist. His biggest passions are building brands and concepting and art directing integrated campaigns. The two brands he’s worked most on are the satellite communications company Viasat, and the biotech leader in genome sequencing, Illumina. His logo for San Diego Pride has also now been going strong for 17 years.

Before all that, Azfar was a software and systems engineer, with an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and a Master’s from UC Davis; he studied graphic design at San Diego City College.

Azfar grew up on four continents (in England, Malawi, Pakistan, and arguably the US) but has lived longest in San Diego, residing in Hillcrest with his partner, whom he’s been with since high school in Pakistan. He’s thrilled to be on the OCSD board to help support our amazing local creative community.
